Hospital Radio

Hospital Radio has been as contagious as the diseases hospitals are focused on battling against. Yet this form of entertainment is shown to be therapeutic to patients as well as enabling them to keep in touch with reality and life outside which is often very welcome when enduring long stays in an hospital ward. The initial concept of hospital radio was first envisaged in 1918 towards the end of World War 1. Not knowing the end was near, an American base hospital positioned in Paris was to rig up wards to allow for easy listening and direct contact with news.
